DescriptionMayvin is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). The selected candidate will provide expert budget and resource management support, helping leaders align resources with mission priorities while ensuring effective stewardship of appropriated and reimbursable funds.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a Secret clearance
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor on budget execution, resource allocation, and funding strategies across appropriated and reimbursable accounts.
- Manage and monitor financial resources using GFEBS, SOMARDS, DTS, and other government financial systems.
- Support the development, planning, and execution of annual budgets and funding requirements for current and emerging programs.
- Analyze funding requirements and recommend resource allocation strategies to maximize mission effectiveness.
- Coordinate with resource managers, supported organizations, and higher headquarters to develop, track, and adjust funding plans.
- Execute and monitor financial actions including MIPRs, reprogramming requests, realignments, obligation plans, and travel funding transactions.
- Maintain financial accountability by ensuring proper accounting classifications, fund commitments, obligations, and execution reporting.
- Provide leadership with accurate financial analysis, execution status, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Six (6) years of budget, financial management, or resource management experience; military experience preferred.
- Experience with GFEBS, DTS, DFAS processes, and DoW financial management practices.
- Strong understanding of budget planning, execution, and resource allocation within a government environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based financial management applications.
