Duties
* Coordinates with Budget Analyst and Budget Of?cer to maintain accurate resource data. Ensures all necessary actions are taken in order to facilitate maximum utilization of funds.
* Monitors the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds through continuing dialogue with management and administrative staff, review of documentation, examination of records, and reviewing various ?nancial systems.
* Devises and recommends the adoption of procedures to implement budgetary/?nancial processes, policies, and regulations issued by higher commands. Prepares a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses and obligations. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.
* 1. Incumbent must obtain and maintain an Secret security clearance.
* 2. Temporary duty (TDY) of less than 10% annually is required.
* 3. Incumbent may be required to work overtime occasionally and during fiscal year-end closeout in August and September.
* Obtain and maintain FM Certification Level 2.
* In accordance with DoDM 8140.03 and supplemental Army guidance, the employee must obtain and maintain the following requirements for each Cyber work role (except Data, AI, and/or Software Engineering) at the assigned proficiency level.
* 1) Foundational qualification requirements within 9 months,
2) Resident qualification requirements within 12 months
3)) 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per work role code (which can overlap). Qualifications Who May Apply:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes Analytical skills to identify and compare financial program actions to determine appropriate recommendations on financial management operations. Provide guidance on financial policies and requirements with specific emphasis on government accounting systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR
