Job Overview

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. As a Systems Administrator II at the XVIII Airborne Corps Mission Training Complexes, you’ll tailor cutting‑edge solutions to the unique requirements of our customer.

• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of systems.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot network devices (including cabling) for exercises, training events and/or special projects.
• Configure and optimize systems to meet operational requirements.
• Integrate various components and systems in an LVC environment.
• Collaborate with other branches to ensure system compatibility and interoperability.
• Implement and manage security policies and configurations.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations and changes.
• Provide input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
• Prepare reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and present results to management and/or customer personnel.
• Serve as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis.
• Provide guidance and work leadership to less‑experienced system administrators.
• May serve as a technical team or task leader.
• Follow DoD directives and instructions as applicable.
• Participate in special projects as required.

• Education:
  
  BA/BS in computer science, information systems, engineering, systems administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.
• Required Experience:
  
  5+ years of related experience; military and MTC experience preferred.
• Required Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Expertise in systems and related technologies; knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices; experience configuring and maintaining networking hardware/software (routers, switches, firewalls); understanding of DBMS and experience with SQL and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance required.
