Required qualifications

• Previous experience asaSATCOM Specialist (NE) or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMDlevel
• Minimum of6years’experience with a BS/BA or 4 years’ experience with an MS/MAor 2years’ experience with a PhD. or 10 years' w/o a degree or 8 years with AS/AA Degree
• A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
• US citizenship is required
• DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441;

As aSATCOM Specialist (NE)- Senior, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:

• Serves as a lead technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network infrastructures for C2
  
  ISR SATCOM Transport Systems, ensuring high resilience and performance.
• Leads the architectural design and deployment of highly scalable and secure SATCOM network segments, incorporating advanced routing protocols, multi-domain network segmentation, and secure data paths for C2
  
  ISR mission data.
• Oversees the integration of diverse SATCOM technologies (e.g., GEO, MEO, LEO, commercial/military SATCOM) into a unified C2
  
  ISR communication infrastructure, defining interoperability standards and network interfaces.
• Conducts expert-level network engineering analysis for SATCOM systems, focusing on throughput optimization, latency reduction, and resilience against environmental or adversarial effects (e.g., rain fade, jamming) using advanced simulation and modeling tools.
• Develops advanced network engineering solutions to address complex SATCOM communication challenges, such as implementing Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles for dynamic bandwidth allocation or designing secure cross-domain solutions over SATCOM.
• Drives the maintenance and modernization strategies for SATCOM assets and ground-based gateways, including evaluating new modem technologies, waveform enhancements, and network management systems.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple high-impact SATCOM network engineering assignments, guiding junior and journeyman specialists, and contributing to the strategic expansion and optimization of global C2
