The Data Scientist‑Mid will support Defense & Intelligence Programs at U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) located gg, NC which supports the broader U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Intelligence Data Science Team efforts.

• Contribute to completion of specific programs and projects.
• Develop data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.
• Utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in data.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experience, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• May develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• May coach and review the work of less experienced professionals.
• Works independently under general supervision.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash, including API development and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with SQL and large‑scale systems such as PostgreSQL, Hive, or Trino.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts and familiarity with Flask or FastAPI.

• Clearance:
  Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance required.
• Experience:
  
  5-8 years of related experience, including academic or internship-based data science work.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Certifications:
  
  None required; cloud or ML-related certifications preferred.
• Role requirements:
  
  On‑Site 5 days.
