We are seeking a skilled Controls / UMCS Technician to support a Army program with maintenance for UMCS, BAS, HVAC controls, and related low-voltage electronic systems supporting government facilities. The technician will perform hands-on troubleshooting, testing, inspection, maintenance, and corrective work on control systems. This position is intended for an experienced field technician capable of working independently after completing required site-specific training.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of UMCS, BAS, HVAC controls, and associated systems.
  • Diagnose control system faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Inspect controllers, sensors, actuators, wiring, relays, communication components, and other low-voltage equipment.
  • Interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, sequence-of-operation documentation, and technical manuals.
  • Perform functional testing and verification of control system operation.
  • Support commissioning and system startup activities as required.
  • Identify system deficiencies and generate recommendations for corrective maintenance.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and condition assessments.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in controls, BAS, UMCS, HVAC controls, electronics, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting low-voltage control systems.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC control systems and building automation.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, control diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, controllers, relays, and related control equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose system issues and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
  • OSHA 30 Certification
Compensation Package:
  • 50-60/hr with PTO & Federal Holidays + Sign On Bonus
