Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker (GSU/Southern Pines)

This position offers relocation.

We are looking for a Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the team responsible for integrating the physical, mental, and psychological wellness of service members and their families under the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) contract. The role is focused on optimizing and sustaining Special Operations Forces (SOF) mission readiness, longevity, and performance through integrated and holistic human performance programs.

• Engage in quality improvement and staff meetings, conferences.
• Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work.
• Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients and produce evaluation and treatment reports.
• Participate in military‑specific training and provide clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees as needed.
• Perform activities including DoD or service‑required training, contacting referred patients, assessing treatment adherence, using validated symptom inventories, assessing barriers to treatment, educating patients on mental health conditions, maintaining patient registry information, and performing case‑management functions.

• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Secret clearance or the ability to obtain it.
• Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted clinical license to practice independently in at least one state, DC, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Good standing in credentialing at a local Military Treatment Facility.
• At least two years of peer‑reviewable clinical social work experience in a mental health setting.
• Working knowledge of professional standards and ethics for clinical social work services.
• Experience in brief behavioral interventions.
• May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges.

• Experience working in a government setting such as DoD or Department of Veterans Affairs MTF.

• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental plans, policies, and procedures.
• Compliance with the quality assurance plan, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Complete all required training.
• Perform other assignments and duties as required.
