Position OverviewThe Sensitive Activities Advisor provides expert-level intelligence analysis and operational planning support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in executing sensitive activities related to counter-weapons of mass destruction (C-WMD) missions. This position serves as a senior subject matter expert responsible for integrating intelligence capabilities with operational planning, supporting the development and execution of sensitive programs, and advising leadership on complex analytical assessments related to threat networks and adversary capabilities.
The advisor works within a dynamic, mission-focused environment requiring the highest levels of discretion, analytical rigor, and interagency coordination expertise.
This position directly supports DTRA's mission to safeguard the United States and its allies from weapons of mass destruction by providing specialized intelligence analysis, targeting support, and sensitive program management assistance.
This position will be located in Kentucky.
Duties and Responsibilities Intelligence Analysis and Targeting Support- Conduct multi-disciplined intelligence analysis using the Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate (F3
EAD) targeting methodology to support counter-threat network operations - Perform pattern-of-life analysis, social network analysis, and link analysis to identify and characterize threat networks, including those associated with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and weapons of mass destruction proliferation networks
- Fuse intelligence from multiple sources including HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and open-source information to develop comprehensive threat assessments
- Provide advisory support to Special Access Programs (SAPs), Special Technical Operations (STOs), and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCMs) as required by the mission
- Coordinate with interagency partners and combatant commands to ensure proper integration of sensitive capabilities into operational planning
- Maintain strict adherence to security protocols and compartmentalization requirements
- Support the development of operational plans, concept of operations, and mission planning documentation
- Participate in working groups, planning conferences, and interagency coordination meetings
- Prepare and deliver intelligence briefings to senior leadership and operational personnel
- Author finished intelligence products including assessments, reports, and analytical summaries
- Maintain and update intelligence databases, targeting packages, and analytical products
- Ensure proper classification marking, handling, and dissemination of sensitive materials
- Support the development and refinement of intelligence collection requirements
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance is mandatory
- Must be eligible for access to Special Access Programs (SAPs) and other sensitive compartmented programs
- Ability to obtain and maintain additional security accesses as required by mission assignment
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
- Master's degree with a minimum of fourteen (14) years of intelligence analysis experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) years of intelligence analysis experience; OR
- Twenty-two (22) years of intelligence analysis experience with no degree requirement
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with Special Access Programs (SAPs), Special Technical Operations (STOs), or Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCMs)
- Demonstrated experience with F3
EAD targeting methodology and counter-threat network operations - Experience supporting counter-IED or counter-WMD analysis efforts
