The Production Control Clerk must have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations and isrequiredto ensure effective execution of the function. The Production Control Clerk mustpossessoperational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systemsutilized. May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
This position compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. This Clerk calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets. Additional tasks include: writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
This Clerk prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
- Ensuretimelyandaccuratedata entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
- Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
- Additional tasks include writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
- This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee timecards and post data on records used for preparation of payroll.
- Monitor equipment requiring maintenance by creating evacuation work orders, coordinating the transfer of equipment to the repair shop, and ensuring proper receipt once repairs are completed.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; however, equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted. - Experience:
- 2-3 years production control experience.
- Must have GCSS-A experience.
- Must have the ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain/maintaina CAC.
- Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
- GCSS-A Certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
- Must have a real .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI(Public trust) background eligibility.
- Basicproficiencyin the English language (reading and writing).
- Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
- Employees maybe required to perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to travel within the United States as required. This position may require up to 25% travel.
- Must be able tolift upto 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments.
- Must also meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high, or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
- This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, periodic overtime, and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
