PLUMBER; MVO

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Campbell, KY.

• Refer to prints (building and utility) for location of lines when difficult stoppages or leaks occur.
• Operate a 1/2 to 3/4 ton truck to and from the work site.
• Clean obstructions in drainpipes and sewer lines, assemble pipe sections and fittings, install and repair valves, install clean outs on sewer lines.
• You will perform repair and limited fabrication of plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
• Repair and replace defective water, sewer, air and chilled water lines, above and below ground.
• Inspect and test piping, fittings and fixtures for effective parts, disassemble and repair damaged section or fabricate replacement.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a Pre-Employment Physical Examination.
• This position requires possession of a valid state driver's license.
• This position requires the wear of mask and protective clothing to reduce the risk of illness.
• This position has been designated Mission Essential and is subject to emergency recall, as well as scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
