Adjunct Faculty – Cybersecurity Management & Policy

Location: Ft. Carson, CO

UMGC seeks adjunct faculty to teach on‑site in Ft. Carson, CO for the Cybersecurity Management and Policy Program. Candidates will work with adult learners, including active‑duty service members and veterans.

• Engage students through frequent interaction and energize learning.
• Facilitate active collaboration and problem‑ and project‑based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich, regular constructive feedback using rubrics for assessment.
• Demonstrate current subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
• Offer feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.
• Complete the university’s two‑week online new‑faculty orientation (Fac Dev 411).

• Required: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field from an accredited institution and professional experience in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Teaching: Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, IPP, CRISC, CCISO.

Salary commensurate with experience; per credit hour rates range from $806 to $1,645 depending on rank and credentials (see internal table).
