Position: SUPERVISORY CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR (SPECIAL AGENT-IN-CHARGE) with Security Clearance
Duties
* Direct felony-level criminal investigations to neutralize security threats within the assigned area of responsibility.
* Oversee criminal intelligence operations to identify emerging transnational or organized crime patterns.
* Develop long-range strategic objectives to guide regional law enforcement operations.
* Analyze statistical management data to track unit caseload postures or operational readiness.
* Represent the investigative unit on regional crime councils to coordinate mutual aid or inter-agency operations.
* Negotiate strategic agreements with federal or state law enforcement partners to establish joint task forces.
* Evaluate subordinate supervisors by issuing formal performance appraisals.
* Adjudicate major disciplinary actions or serious employee grievances to maintain organizational discipline. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
* Pre-employment and random drug testing is required IAW AR 600-85.
* Must successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
* Must qualify with and carry a firearm.
* This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
* This position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
* Must agree in writing to comply with management-directed permanent change of station (PCS) movement to meet mission requirements. Must sign a mobility agreement if selected.
* Position requires annual completion of a Financial Disclosure Form, OGE-450.
* Position requires access to classified material will be required to complete a SF-312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).
* Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license at the time of appointment, must maintain license while employed in the position, and will be required to operate a motor vehicle.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (or equivalent rigorous public safety/law enforcement experience) which includes experience:
Managing complex, multi-jurisdictional felony criminal investigations, or criminal intelligence operations;
Developing strategic, long-range operational plans for investigative programs;
Representing the organization, to include coordinating joint law enforcement operations or liaison activities with high-level external stakeholders, military commanders, or senior law enforcement executives; and Directing a professional law enforcement workforce, including resolving complex personnel issues or evaluating performance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
