- $8.92 – 11.73/hr up to 40 hours per week
The laborer will maintain the grounds of industrial, commercial, and public properties and operate equipment in completing daily job duties. Responsibilities
- Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; water lawns and shrubs during dry periods using hose or sprinkler system.
- Pick up, burn, or cart away leaves, paper, or other litter.
- Remove snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots using shovel and snow blower; spread salt where needed.
- Repair and paint fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings.
- Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment; clean comfort stations, offices, workshop areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping, and polishing.
- Cut grass or weeds with a mower, riding or hand; trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells using hedge trimmers, weed eaters, clippers, and edging tools; hand‑weed pulling, raking, and mulching landscapes.
- May drive ATV’s, Kubota’s, and other small equipment or tractors; perform related duties as assigned.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently produce quality products and service.
- Complete all training within required timelines.
- Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Some directly related experience preferred and/or formal vocational/technician training.
- Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier
1) background check. - On a continuous basis must be able to pull, push, lift or carry for 50 feet, sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and twist for varying periods in the course of work.
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to interact well with others in a team setting or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high‑volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail oriented.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to access government worksite.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold/heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow on uneven terrain – side hills and slopes.
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on‑call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
