Health & Welfare: $8.92- $11.73/hr up to 40 hours per week
About the RoleThis position performs general maintenance on boilers and building heating equipment along with water chemistry route monitoring. The position requires practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in various construction trades.
What You'll Be Doing- Work will include boiler maintenance, pump maintenance, valve maintenance, water chemistry and assisting in High temp hot water plant operation and maintenance.
- Report all necessary repairs inside mechanical rooms and maintaining mechanical rooms in clean order.
- Assist stationary engineers in boiler open and inspect and planned maintenance.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently produces quality products and service.
- Completes all training within required timeline.
- Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades.
- Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
- Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier
1) background check. - Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Must possess the ability to work in a high-volume office area and interface in a positive manner with co-workers and the customer.
- Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
- Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
- Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Employees will be required to work on top of buildings, in mechanical rooms, in crawl spaces, etc. to do routine maintenance. This requires but is not limited to carrying ladders, being in small spaces over periods of time, and being able to work at all heights.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- On a continuous basis, sit, stand, bend, climb ladders (up to 40 feet), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and twist for varying periods in the course of work; use hands and fingers to grasp tools; make repetitive hand and body motions; twist and reach below and above shoulder; lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to communicate with co-workers using a two-way…
