Pay: $40.91/hr

Health and Welfare: $8.92 - $11.73/hr up to 40 hours per week

About the Role

The Electrician
- Interior position performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Installing or repairing electrical equipment such as exterior lighting/circuits, generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment; performing standard calculations related to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Collaborating with vendors to procure quotes for replacement parts and equipment; documenting work performed and materials used.
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
  • Typically requires formal apprenticeship or equivalent training; rounded training and experience in industrial electrical systems.
  • Minimum of six (6) years journey-level experience; completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent vocational/technical training. Each year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of experience.
  • Must maintain required city/county/state license(s) and/or certification(s), where applicable.
  • Ability to operate from various lifts and bucket trucks.
  • Ability to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier
    1) background check.
  • Maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume office area and positively interact with co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to work in a team or alone and adapt to changing job priorities on short notice.
  • Perform duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives; demonstrate courtesy and skill with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Maintain accurate records for quick and efficient retrieval of information.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; adapt to short-notice changes.
  • Capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to access government worksites as required.
  • Knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying conditions; may involve exposure to dust, high voltage, and other hazards; use of ladders or safety equipment may be required.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, climbing, stooping, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other manual tasks; use of hands for tool handling and communication via two-way radio or phone.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet mission requirements.
