Pay: $28.10/hr + $1.00/hr CDL Pay

Health and Welfare: $8.92 – $11.73/hr up to 40 hours per week to be used towards benefit premiums

About the Role

The main duties include the operation of a combination of equipment including street sweepers, tractors with trailer, Vactor trucks and dump trucks.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Loading of general construction equipment including skid steer, excavators, back hoes and vertical lifts as required after training.
  • Individual will also assist Heavy Equipment Operators and other departments with hauling materials.
  • Will run Vactor tucks to assist other shops and complete tasks required of the Heavy Department as well
  • Snow removal during the snow season.
  • This position will require periodic on-call scheduling.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.
  • Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
  • Must maintain a valid stateCDL Class Adriver’s license with a minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving straight bodied trucks and/or tractor-trailer combinations without an accident. (no restrictions).
  • Must have Tanker Endorsement or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Hazmat endorsements preferred.
  • Required to drive manual transmission.
  • Experience operating a semi-truck preferred.
  • Vactor Truck experience is a plus willing to train
  • Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier
    1) background check.
  • Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts during weather events to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts during weather events to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors environments. Some work is performed with exposure to low to loud noise level; frequent fieldwork is required with exposure to a variety of weather conditions and the external environment; tasks may require working in tightly enclosed spaces and the use of ladders or other safety equipment to gain access to hard-to-reach locations; some work may require exposure to dust, particulates, unpleasant and potentially hazardous substances and high voltage.
