Accounts Payable Accountant Overview

Salary $65-80K

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant who brings strong accounting fundamentals and wants a role that extends beyond transaction processing. This position combines ownership of accounts payable activities with account reconciliations, general ledger support, month-end close responsibilities, and financial reporting assistance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working across the AP function while developing broader accounting experience and contributing to the accuracy and integrity of the financial close.

• Manage accounts payable accounting activities while ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger

• Prepare account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items

• Support month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and AP-related account analysis

• Review vendor activity, payment records, and supporting documentation to maintain accurate financial records and appropriate controls

• Partner with the broader accounting team on reporting, audit support, process improvements, and other accounting projects

• Accounting experience that includes accounts payable as well as general ledger, reconciliations, or month-end close responsibilities

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, debits and credits, and account reconciliation

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
