Liberty Common School (Plato Campus) is seeking an Administrative Assistant who is also primarily responsible for student care as the school’s health technician beginning July 2026. Liberty Common School is a Poudre School District charter school dedicated to Core Knowledge principles and character education. The school currently enrolls over 590 students grades k-6.
Liberty Common School provides excellence and fairness in education by teaching a contextual body of organized knowledge, the skills of learning, and the values of a democratic society. This is done through parental choice, partnership with teachers, and student acceptance of responsibility for his/her academic effort.

PAY RANGE: $40,000-$45,000

- Provides quality customer service in the school’s front office, professionally greeting visitors and efficiently answering telephones
- Maintains accurate and efficient period-by-period student attendance records and assisting with other student-record systems
- Orders supplies for the health office, front office, and teacher work rooms
- Provides clerical and administrative support to all Liberty staff including, but not limited to sending faxes, making copies, and sorting the mail
- Assists in coordinating school-wide events, assemblies, and gatherings
- Performs other common school-office and clerical duties as required
- Assists school nurse and other personnel
- Consoles and encourages students in crisis/stress situations
- Coordinates student health needs with teachers, nurse, and parents
- Completes monthly AED inspection reports
- Administers medications adhering to district and state procedures
- Attends quarterly health meetings and takes part of other professional development opportunities
- Communicates effectively with parents and staff about health concerns
- Assists with fieldtrip preparations
- Performs delegated medical procedures as needed
- Provides data entry and filing as necessary
- Maintains health office records including HCAP records, immunization records, medication records, vision and hearing records and cumulative health records
- Provides first aid to students and staff
- Assists with special events and special projects including, but not limited to, teacher-appreciation events, Olympic Day, faculty/staff breakfasts and luncheons, etc.
- Desire and willingness to learn about Liberty’s history and philosophy and to uphold and promote the mission and values of the school
- Experience in office or school settings
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to represent the school in a professional and courteous manner to parents, students, and visitors
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, customer-driven environment while maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere
- Certified in First Aid and CPR, or a willingness to become certified
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, composed, and effective in stressful health-related situations.
- Demonstrated literacy with computer office suite products and the ability to learn other software programs
- Demonstrated skill in prioritizing and successfully completing multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent communication skills, initiative, attention to detail, and situational awareness
- Ability and willingness to be part of a hard-working, active team

Qualifications:
- Understanding of Liberty Common High School’s history and a commitment to maintaining and promoting the school’s mission and values
The ability to move safely in business work spaces
Must be able to work in occasionally loud environments
The ability to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time (up to eight hours)
The ability to lift 10-20 pounds when needed
Must be able to maneuver uneven surfaces
The ability to frequently use office technology, including computers, copiers, and printers
