Powell Center Meeting Coordinator; GS

Responsibilities

The John Wesley Powell Center for Analysis and Synthesis has a need for an enrollee to provide assistance with meeting logistics related to hosting scientific working groups. This support includes a wide range of activities related to meeting setup such as audio-visual setups scheduling and coordinating field trips snacks and restaurant reservations as well as pre-and post meeting communications. This position will have a highly variable schedule with every other week close to full time.

• On-site customer service support assisting with AV connection, refreshments, local knowledge 40%
• Light data entry and reporting using local systems 20%

HS/GED Degree

• Valid Driver's License preferred
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat

• Annual information Management and Technology Awareness training for accessing federal computer systems.
• Travel Requirements: local travel may be necessary for refreshment procurement (less than 5 miles)
• Health and Safety Considerations:
  The person will be setting out foods for others to consume and washing dishes; health considerations related to cleaning and disinfecting are necessary
