Overview
We are looking for an Administrative Supervisor to join our team! The position coordinates the administrative functions of the Natural Resources department including file maintenance, customer service, reception, and related areas. It also manages administrative support processes and projects.
Responsibilities- Exercise direct, first-level supervision of positions, employees, operations, and activities within the administrative function of a department or division.
- Establish and maintain office management systems, processes, forms, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct special research projects, gather, compile, and analyze information; provide alternatives and make recommendations on courses of action.
- Oversee the records management function of the department.
- Administer confidential personnel processes and related files.
- Act as a project manager for various administrative programs or special projects.
- Use routine software and business applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Read and comprehend department and County rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.
- Apply basic supervisory principles and practices.
- Have knowledge of current business letter writing techniques and methods.
- Five years of experience in a related field.
- Two years of supervisory experience required.
- Possess reliable transportation to work in any County facility as needed and required.

This position may work weekends and holidays.
