Job Description
The Preschool Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool office. This role involves communicating with parents, maintaining student records, assisting with enrollment, and supporting teachers and leadership staff. This position is a 10-month position with 180 working days. MSD is on a four-day school week with bi-monthly professional days on Fridays.

Administrative Assistant
- Greet and assist parents, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records.
- Assist with enrollment, registration, and attendance tracking.
- Process paperwork, forms, and billing documentation.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and events.
- Support communication between families, teachers, and administration.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Assist with compliance and licensing documentation as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience is preferred, but may not be necessary
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities with frequent interruptions
- Detail-oriented
- Able to communicate effectively with a lot of different people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service and public relations skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and records in compliance with confidentiality laws, including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting, at the employee’s expense.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required within 90 days of hire
- Student Information Systems
- Operating knowledge of and experience with computers
- Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, Google, financial software, email/calendar systems.

Salary Schedule Additional Qualifications- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
