  • Assist with project administration including contracts, submittals, RFIs, documentation, and compliance to reduce risk and avoid claims.
  • Help develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, including buyout and subcontract agreements.
  • Maintain submittal logs, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Support progress billings, change orders, and monthly project financial reporting.
  • Track labor productivity, staffing needs, and resource loading with field leadership.
  • Participate in pre-construction and project turnover meetings.
  • Review invoices, track payments and retention, and support collections as needed.
  • Monitor tools, equipment rentals, and overall project cost control.
  • Act as a liaison between project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth communication and execution.
Qualifications

  • Typically 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, project engineering, or project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with field and office teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software is a plus.

This role is well suited for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow into a Project Manager role while gaining hands‑on experience across all phases of mechanical construction.
