Heavy Civil Project Manager – Bridges & DOT Projects
Centennial, CO | $100,000–$140,000 + Company Vehicle + 100% Employer-Paid Employee Benefits
An established Colorado heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Manager to oversee bridge and structural concrete projects throughout Colorado.
This is a hands-on construction management position for someone who has directly managed heavy civil projects and understands project financials, scheduling, field coordination, subcontractors, and DOT requirements.
What You’ll Be DoingManage approximately 1–4 heavy civil and bridge projects, depending on size and complexity
Own project budgets, job costing, billing, monthly forecasting, and change orders
Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Process RFIs, subcontractor scopes, purchase requirements, and project documentation
Monitor manpower, equipment rentals, back charges, schedule risks, and budget performance
Assist with estimating and price project change orders
Manage projects from startup through final closeout
Maintain positive relationships with clients, DOT representatives, and trade partners
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards
5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
Bridge construction experience is required
DOT project experience is required
CDOT project experience is strongly preferred
Experience managing project budgets, job costs, forecasting, billing, and change orders
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Experience developing and maintaining construction schedules
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work onsite and travel to project locations throughout Colorado
Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 experience
Viewpoint experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Structural concrete, bridge rehabilitation, retaining wall, culvert, or foundation experience
