HVAC & Solar Service Dispatcher

Because of our success, reputation, and deep roots in the Northern Colorado community, we are expanding into full‑service heating and cooling with the launch of Sandbox HVAC – a new division powered by the same innovation, integrity, and service our customers already trust.
As we expand, we've created a position for a HVAC & Solar Service Dispatcher to support our service team and ensure our customers receive timely and clear communication throughout the service process.
This is not a call center role
. It is a professional dispatch and coordination position that bridges customer communication with field operations. You will schedule service appointments, respond to system alerts, relay information to technicians, and help maintain accurate project records.
If you enjoy being the central link between clients, technicians, and internal teams and are excellent at being the calm center of a fast‑moving operation, keeping things organized, and helping customers, this is a great role for you.
Working with Sandbox Here is Some of What the Successful Candidate Will Be Doing:- Serving as the primary point of contact customers inquiring about the status of their service requests or HVAC Projects
- Scheduling and dispatching service technicians efficiently
- Communicating service updates and appointment confirmations by phone and email
- Responding to solar monitoring alerts and coordinating appropriate follow up
- Submitting and tracking warranty claims
- Maintaining accurate project records in Build Ops and Airtable
- Coordinating with service leadership to ensure schedule alignment
- Offering general support to teammates and jumping in on tasks as needed in a fast‑moving environment
- Previous dispatch and customer service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, calm approach when helping frustrated customers
- Ability to problem‑solve, multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment where schedules change
- Accuracy in data entry and maintaining digital records
- Confidence using software tools and web‑based systems
- Willingness to learn the basics of HVAC service and solar troubleshooting
- Cannot sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time, or work effectively on a computer
- Do not genuinely creating a world‑class quality customer experience for our clients.
- Just want to put their heads down and do a job, rather than be part of a team and have a role in the big picture
- Get overwhelmed by changing priorities or multiple incoming requests
- Can’t easily get along with a lot of different people – those who work on roofs, those who work in the office, city, county and utility permitting offices, and of course, our customers
- Aren’t able to be a calming and soothing influence when emotions can run high as deadlines approach.
- Have used platforms like Build Ops, Service Titan, or Airtable
- Understand basic service workflows and scheduling efficiency
- Have experience working with warranty processes or service contracts
- Take ownership of tasks and bring a proactive mindset
Job will be approximately 60% on‑site and 40% remote after training.
We expect to fill this job by November 30, 2025.
Pay for this position is $22 – $25 per hour depending on experience.
