Position SummaryThe Landscape Design Associate provides technical, drafting, and administrative support to multiple landscape designers and architects in a collaborative, time‑shared model. The position enhances team efficiency, maintains consistent documentation standards, and ensures clear communication across projects.
Wage: $24‑$28/hour depending on education and experience.
Note: You are required to upload a design portfolio to be moved forward!
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities- Conduct site measurements and field verification to support project accuracy.
- Input, update, and manage base plans from surveys, aerials, and consultant drawings.
- Prepare and refine drawings for all design phases—from concept through construction documentation.
- Generate and modify 3D models in conjunction with CAD plans.
- Execute redline revisions promptly and accurately based on designer feedback.
- Develop clear and organized drawings for estimating, with clear written specifications.
- Maintain consistent graphic standards, layering, labeling and file naming across all documents.
- Organize and manage digital project files with version control and clear handoff documentation.

- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in landscape design, landscape architecture, or environmental design.
- Required: Associate’s degree (two‑year degree) or a certification program of comparable length.
- 1‑3 years of relevant experience in landscaping or horticulture required.
- 1 year residential landscape construction and 1 year of landscape design experience preferred.
- Sketch Up: 1 year preferred.
- AutoCAD (LANDFX): 1 year preferred.
- Proactive problem‑solver with a hands‑on approach and service‑minded attitude.
- Self‑motivated and dependable, with strong organization, attention to detail, and follow‑through.
- Clear and supportive communicator who works well across design, sales, and operations teams.
- Proficient with MS Office, CAD, and Sketch Up.
- Must pass proficiency exam prior to sales manager interview.
- Working knowledge of landscape materials, horticulture, irrigation, and lighting systems.
Hours vary and are dependent on business needs. Weekends may be needed to satisfy the workload.
