Job Overview

School Year: 2026-27. Position:
Teacher Elementary-Physical Education at PSD Global Academy (Fort Collins, Colorado). Scheduled hours:
Quarter 1 & 4: 11:45 AM‑2:45 PM Monday/Wednesday and 2:00 PM‑4:00 PM Tuesday/Thursday;
Quarter 2 & 3: 8:15 AM‑11:15 AM Monday/Wednesday and 2:00 PM‑4:00 PM Tuesday/Thursday. Full‑time (35 %). Work calendar: 188 days. This is a probationary position; licensed contract employees may apply and retain contract status.

Compensation:
Salary from $58,000 to $89,278 annually based on the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule and years of experience. The rates are for the 2025‑26 school year and will be updated for 2026‑27. Benefits include PERA retirement, short and long‑term disability, employee walk‑in clinic, and other optional elections.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement:
    • Course content, format, structure, and schedule.
    • Individualized programs of instruction for students.
    • Classroom materials and curriculum.
    • Lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one settings.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
  • Create a classroom environment maximizing instructional opportunity, supervise student behavior and wellbeing, and administer discipline when appropriate.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress and needs.
  • Communicate students’ progress and needs with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes, and with colleagues in team and building‑based meetings and discussions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to:

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree from a proper teaching licensure program.
    • Experience instructing students in a classroom setting (preferred).
    • Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements.
    • Criminal background check required upon hire.
    • CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

    Materials and Equipment Operating Knowledge
    • Operating knowledge and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
    • Operating knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Front Page).
