2026-27 Teacher Secondary-Spanish – Fossil Ridge High School (Fort Collins, Colorado) – Poudre School District.

Job . Starting Date:
Aug 10 2026. Assignment: 100 % with 188 work calendar days. Duration:
Ongoing. Probationary position; employees under a licensed contract may apply and retain contract status.

Pay: $58,000–$89,278 annually (Licensed Educator Salary Schedule, 2025‑26 rates, to be updated for 2026‑27). Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short‑ and long‑term disability, walk‑in clinic access, and other optional elections.

Requirements:
Valid Colorado Educator’s License with appropriate endorsement. Criminal background check required. CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule; individualized programs of instruction; classroom materials and curriculum; lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one situations.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade assignments and assessments.
  • Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise behavior and well‑being of students, and administer discipline when appropriate.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress.
  • Communicate students’ progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, colleagues to enhance instruction and improve outcomes; collaborate in team and building‑based meetings and discussions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to: understanding and appreciating student diversity; including and engaging families in the education; supporting Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations; providing personal and professional excellence.
  • Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings; student/family conferences; social, cultural, interscholastic, extracurricular activities; professional growth opportunities.
  • Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Education and Related Work Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with a proper teaching licensure program required.
    • Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
    Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
    • Criminal background check required for hire.
    • Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
    • CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

    Materials and Equipment – Operating Knowledge
    • Operating knowledge of personal computers and peripherals.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Front Page, and other departmental software).
    • Typical educational/instructional technology equipment and programs.
    • Typical office equipment.
    Reporting Relationships & Direction/Guidance

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
