Overview
This position is for the 2026-27 school year at Shepardson Elementary School for the fall semester beginning August 10, 2026 to December 18, 2026. It is a 100% assignment for one semester only.

PaySalary based on the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule, with a range of $58,000 - $89,278 annually for 100% assignment starting August 6, 2025.
SummaryResponsible for instructing elementary level students in appropriate subject areas in coordination with current curriculum and within the framework of District and state content standards.
Job Responsibilities- Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule.
- Create individualized programs of instruction for students.
- Produce classroom materials and curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and learning activities.
- Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
- Administer, edit, proofread, and grade student assignments and assessments.
- Create a classroom environment maximizing instructional opportunity, supervise student behavior and well-being, and administer discipline when appropriate.
- Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
- Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress.
- Communicate student progress and needs with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve outcomes.
- Show commitment to understanding, appreciating, and accommodating student diversity; engaging families; supporting district policies; and personal and professional excellence.
- Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings; student or family conferences; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; and professional growth opportunities.
- Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree with a proper teaching licensure program.
- Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements.
- CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
