20% Elementary Teacher (K‑2) – PSD Options, Fort Collins, Colorado Job  |

Hours:

8:15 AM‑4:15 PM on either Monday or Friday | Position: 20% (may be combined with another 20% to form a 40% position).

• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, programming formats, structures, and schedules.
• Design individualized programs of instruction, classroom materials, curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.
• Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one settings.
• Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
• Create an engaging classroom environment, supervise behavior and wellbeing, and administer discipline when appropriate.
• Design assessment tasks that differ in format and use assessment data for meaningful feedback and instruction adjustment.
• Monitor student growth and progress; adapt support as needed and maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress.
• Communicate students’ progress and needs with parents/guardians and other staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree and a valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements.
• Experience in a classroom setting (preferred).
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
• Technical proficiency:
  Microsoft Office Suite, educational technology applications, and standard office equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills (bilingual skills preferred).
• Interpersonal skills, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
• Commitment to attendance requirements, safety rules, and confidentiality.

Based on the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule, annual range $58,000 – $89,278 for a 100% assignment starting Aug 6, 2025. Rates for 2026‑27 will be updated during negotiation process.

Probationary position; PSD contractors may apply and retain contract status if selected. Duration:
Ongoing. Work calendar days: 188. Division: PSD Options – Fort Collins.
