Preschool Teacher

Young Peoples Learning Center is a privately owned child care center here in Fort Collins and we are looking for a for a nurturing preschool teacher to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met in our 2.5-3.5 year old classroom!

As a preschool teacher, you will be required to plan and lead classroom activities, build relationships with children through play and conversation, communicate with parents in person and through our app, work cooperatively with co-teachers and other staff, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. You should also be an excellent role model for our students and love playing on the floor with kids!

We are looking for a genuinely good human who has a passion for working with young children.

To be successful as a preschool teacher, you should be creative, energetic, passionate, and able to encourage self-expression. Top candidates will possess a thorough understanding of child development, the importance of the environment, and the integral role relationship building plays in early childhood development.

Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.

Modelling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.

Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times.

Working with families to gain insight into students' home lives.

Tracking and informing parents of students' progress.

Working collaboratively with a teaching team.

Attending parent and staff meetings.
