Information specific to this position

This position is for the 2026-27 school year teaching High School English Language Arts at PSD Global Academy. PGA provides both in‑person and online instruction to support students in our hybrid pathway.

Schedule

Percentage: 40%

  • 1st Semester: 9:30 AM‑4:15 PM Monday/Wednesday; 2 hours asynchronous Tuesday/Thursday; 10:00 AM‑12:30 PM Friday
  • 2nd Semester: 12:15 PM‑4:15 PM Monday/Wednesday; 2 hours asynchronous Tuesday/Thursday

Pay

Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. Range for this position: $58,000 – $89,278 annually (based on a 100% assignment starting August 6th, 2025).

Summary

Responsible for instructing secondary level students in appropriate subject area in coordination with current curriculum and within the framework of district and state content standards.

Job Tasks
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement:
    • Course content, format, structure, and schedule.
    • Individualized programs of instruction for students.
    • Classroom materials and curriculum.
    • Lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one situations.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students' assignments and assessments.
  • Create a classroom environment which maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise the behavior and wellbeing of students in the classroom and all educational settings, and administer discipline when appropriate.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.
  • Communicate students' progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
  • Collaborate:
    • With teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
    • With colleagues in team and building‑based meetings and discussions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to:
    • Understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity.
    • Include and engage families in the student's education.
    • Support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations.
    • Provide personal and professional excellence.
  • Participate in:
    • Department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions.
    • Student and/or family conferences and other meetings.
    • Social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities.

  • Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Licenses Required
  • Bachelor's degree with proper teaching licensure program required.
  • Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
  • Criminal background check required for hire.
  • Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
