DescriptionPosition Summary
The Student Advising and Recruiting Supervisor is responsible for leading the school's academic and career advising program while also owning student recruitment from initial inquiry through final enrollment. This role ensures that CEC's advising philosophy is implemented with fidelity and that recruitment efforts are strategic, consistent, and aligned with enrollment goals. The Supervisor collaborates closely with the Marketing team (who develops content) to execute recruitment strategies, welcome packages, and ongoing student/family engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Owns the full recruitment and enrollment process from initial inquiry through final enrollment, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for prospective students and families.
- Manages the recruitment pipeline, including responding to inquiries, maintaining consistent communication and coordinating welcome packages and follow-up touchpoints.
- Collaborates with the Marketing and Admissions team to implement recruitment content and campaigns effectively.
- Builds and maintains relationships with prospective families, community partners, and feeder schools to support recruitment efforts.
- Leads the school's Advising department to ensure CEC's advising philosophy and Early College Graduation policy are implemented with fidelity for every student and family.
- Advises a small caseload of students each semester, supporting the development and progress of their 4-year Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) to ensure students graduate with a postsecondary credential.
- Meets regularly with the advising team to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to CEC policies and procedures.
- Conducts one-on-one meetings with advisors and observes advising appointments to support training and professional development.
- Completes annual evaluations of advising staff.
- Collaborates with the Head of School and Academic Dean to build each semester's course grid.
- Works closely with appropriate staff on enrollment, student recruitment, and accurate college tuition and billing processes.
- Supports the MTSS and ESS teams as needed.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with postsecondary institution partners and local/out-of-state colleges and universities.
- Participates in required professional development, safety, and security trainings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in academic advising, student services, enrollment management, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with recruitment, enrollment processes, or student onboarding is strongly preferred.
