Position Summary:
The Faculty‑led Education Abroad Coordinator supports and facilitates high‑impact custom education abroad opportunities in partnership with CSU faculty and staff. Working through a student‑centered lens, the coordinator is responsible for managing a portfolio of custom education abroad programs, including logistical and administrative support, collaboration with international partners and program leaders, and management of the full application cycle from recruitment through reentry for each program.
This position also involves several special project teams related to the office’s needs. This is a 12‑month full‑time administration professional position based in Fort Collins, CO.

EssentialJob Duties
- Serve as the program coordinator and student‑facing advisor for 15‑25 faculty‑led education abroad programs; taking students through the education abroad lifecycle from advising and application through to the successful completion of their program and reintegration on campus.
- Collaborate with international partners, program leaders, and CSU campus partners to develop and maintain clear communication timelines and support program logistics, risk mitigation, and programming for custom education abroad programs.
- Develop and maintain participant materials for application, acceptance, registration, orientation, and evaluation specific to the assigned CSU program portfolio for both web‑based platforms and campus partners.
- Support strategic outreach on campus and coordinate EA information sessions, tabling, follow‑up advising, first‑group meetings, pre‑departure orientation sessions, and other related workshops to communicate available international opportunities, program‑specific information, and advise outbound students on application forms, entry requirements, health and safety materials, and visa regulations for the program destinations.
- Communicate with students abroad. Consult with appropriate people in an effective and timely manner for problem resolution, crisis avoidance, and crisis response.
- Communicate with students individually during open advising hours, appointments, and through email to assess appropriate program placement with regard to academic, personal, professional, and financial goals for education abroad. Additionally, advise students, faculty, staff, and parents on Colorado State University administrative policies and procedures as related to education abroad.
- Support several Education Abroad special project working groups, programming, and events, as assigned. These projects may include training peer advisors, coordinating events, facilitating marketing and communication, supporting scholarship administration, organizing returnee and alumni programming, updating recommended program lists with departments, liaising with program providers, student service offices, and academic departments, or other projects as assigned.
- Participate in a work group, committee, or related area outside the scope of regular duties that supports EA, OIP, CSU, or the international education professional community.

- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, international education/international studies, business, science, or related field.
- One year of experience in an office setting within the field of international education or higher education.
- Evidence of strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with public speaking/presenting.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of people at all levels of an organization, including culturally diverse communities.
- Experience with student‑centered education abroad advising.
