Manager of Prevention and Community Education Application.

About The Organization

The CCAC is the accredited Child Advocacy Center for Colorado’s 8th Judicial District. We serve our community through two main pillars:
Forensic Services, providing a child-friendly environment for abuse investigations and victim advocacy; and Prevention Services, which equip both youth and adults with the tools and training necessary to identify, respond to, and prevent child victimization. By collaborating with law enforcement and community partners, we work to reduce trauma and close critical service gaps for children and families.

Program Overview

The Crawford Child Advocacy Center’s Abuse Prevention programs empower children and adults with the knowledge and skills to recognize, refuse, and report unsafe or abusive situations. Launched in 2007, Safety Smarts now includes:

  • In‑person classroom sessions for youth (delivered in multi-week rotations).
  • In-person, online, and hybrid delivery options.
  • Special-needs adaptations for specialized audiences.
  • Adult-facing community education, workshops, and caregiver prevention training.

Note:

Teaching specialized versions requires additional training/qualifications.
