Temporary Instructor Positions
The School of Education seeks applications between July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2026 – 2027 academic year. Instructors teach hybrid courses (using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies) in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need.
Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding. $1,666.67 per credit hour instruction
$50,000 base salary
Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)
- Earned doctorate in higher education leadership or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence and experience as a higher education leadership scholar/practitioner/administrator.
- Experience teaching in organizational theory, higher education finance, or related areas.
- At least three years of professional work experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience in teaching using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies.
- Experience with mentoring and advising graduate student scholar practitioners.
- Record of scholarship and publication in higher education leadership or a related field commensurate with a research university.
