• Pay range: $20.02–$22.42/hour (based on qualifications and experience)
• Hours per day: 7
• Work calendar days: 185

Ongoing

- Provide direct support with students experiencing behaviors and/or trauma by reinforcing behavior skills in individual or small groups, proactively recognizing potential causes, monitoring and enforcing acceptable social and physical behavior, implementing replacement behaviors and safety plans, and assisting with de-escalation as needed.
- Monitor students in the classroom and during breaks, lunch, recess, time-outs, field trips, bus loading/unloading, etc., and reinforce school-wide discipline procedures.
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student behavior; assist with skill acquisition and document interventions and progress data.
- Communicate with staff regarding student progress; collaborate with school teams and attend behavior support meetings as necessary.
- Assist teachers and/or administration with special projects.
- Attend appropriate in-services, trainings, building meetings, and student educational support planning meetings; present at in-service programs as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of related experience
- Experience working with students with behavior needs preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) required within 3 months of hire
- Oral and written communication skills;
English language proficiency; strong interpersonal relations - Mathematical skills including basic calculations
- Bilingual abilities may be required or preferred
- Ability to work with students with behavior and trauma needs; ability to de-escalate and diffuse volatile situations
- Maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team; manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Promote and follow Board of Education policies, District policies, and building procedures
- Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and maintain safety in the workplace
- Basic operating knowledge of personal computers and peripherals
- Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent department software; standard office equipment
