The Philosophy Department invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses in philosophy, ethics, logic, and religious studies. These are non‑tenure track positions.

Work Unit DescriptionThe Department of Philosophy has a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and aims to prepare students for a wide variety of professional and life goals, including graduate school in philosophy and professional training in law, social work, the health‑care professions, theology, or business, and to provide general intellectual flexibility and the analytic skills necessary to thrive in a changing world.
Students can major or minor in philosophy or pursue one of several certificates.

EssentialJob Duties
- Teach undergraduate courses.
- Develop and maintain course materials, assessments, and records.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to students while contributing to departmental goals.
Pre‑employment criminal background check (required for new hires).
SupervisionThis position will not supervise any employees.
Minimum Qualifications- M.A. in Philosophy or Religious Studies.
- Experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching in higher education.
- Ph.D. in Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Religious Studies, or related field.
