PayThe position is paid according to the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. The salary range is $58,000 - $89,278 annually (for a 100% assignment starting August 6, 2025).
SummaryResponsible for instructing secondary level students in the appropriate subject area in coordination with the current curriculum and within the framework of the District and state content standards.
Job Tasks- Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule.
- Develop individualized programs of instruction for students.
- Prepare classroom materials and curriculum.
- Create lesson plans and learning activities.
- Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one settings.
- Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
- Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise behavior and wellbeing, and administer discipline when appropriate.
- Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways, and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
- Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress.
- Communicate students’ progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes; collaborate in team and building‑based meetings and discussions.
- Demonstrate commitment to understanding, appreciating, and making accommodations for student diversity; include families in the student’s education; support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations; and provide personal and professional excellence.
- Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences and other meetings; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; and professional growth opportunities.
- Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required.
- Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
- CPR and First Aid certificates encouraged.
