Job Summary

This position is for a 39% Middle School Science Teacher at PSD Global Academy. The educator will instruct secondary-level students in appropriate subject area in coordination with current curriculum and within the framework of District and state content standards. The teacher will provide both in‑person and online instruction to support students in our hybrid pathway.

Schedule

Scheduled hours: 9:30 AM-3:00 PM Tuesday/Thursday; 5 asynchronous hours Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Work calendar days: 188. Duration:
Ongoing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule; individualized programs of instruction; classroom materials and curriculum; lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Instruct students in large, small, and one‑on‑one situations.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students' assignments and assessments.
  • Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise behavior and wellbeing of students, and administer discipline when appropriate.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation regarding academic, social, and emotional progress and needs.
  • Communicate students' progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes; collaborate in team and building‑based meetings and discussions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to understand and appreciate student diversity, include and engage families in education, support all district policies, procedures, and expectations, and provide personal and professional excellence.
  • Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences and other meetings; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; professional growth opportunities.
  • Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with proper teaching license program required.
  • Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
  • Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
  • Criminal background check required for hire.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

Pay

Salary determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. The annual range for this 100% assignment starting August 6, 2025 is $58,000–$89,278.
