Salary: $18.22–$19.67/hour, determined by the Instructional Support Salary Schedule.

Purpose of the Job: The Health Technician supports the school nurse by managing the health office, addressing the health needs of students, and assisting with general health and welfare tasks for students and staff.

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Effective Communication and Social Skills
Satisfactorily carry out each essential duty Licenses/Certificates:
Current American Red Cross First Aid Certificate

Under the direction of the District Nurse(s) and the site administrator(s), implement schedules and routines, effectively communicate with the public and other building personnel, and support school-wide building management and culture plans.

Meet students' safety, physical, and emotional needs.

Maintain health history information for students.

Maintain frequent communication with parents of students who are ill, injured or on a Health Action Plan.

When deemed necessary by the District Nurse(s), transport ill or injured students.

Record daily absences and health issues/office visits.

Possess skills to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.

Assist with other job-related duties as assigned.

Equipment: Variety of standard office equipment and medical equipment.
