Overview
Acara Solutions is seeking a Sr. Test Development Engineer to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity available in Fort Collins, Colorado.

This role designs, develops, and implements cost-effective manufacturing test solutions for high-frequency, high-voltage circuits and systems. The Test Engineer supports early product development by delivering flexible, scalable test tools and processes, making data-driven decisions, and applying innovative test technologies to ensure product quality.
Responsibilities- Ensure testability and serviceability of new product designs; provide manufacturing and field feedback to design teams
- Develop test and diagnostic programs; design test fixtures and equipment
- Create specifications and procedures for new products and design changes across the product lifecycle
- Estimate project costs and schedules for test solution implementation
- Own test requirements from vendor through shipment to customer
- Verify products meet functional requirements, including design verification and manufacturing screens
- Analyze capability and maintain control of critical product and test equipment parameters
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of product test development experience
- Minimum 5 years of power supply testing or design experience
- Minimum 5 years of NI LabVIEW, Test Stand, C++, SQL, and/or Python experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence design decisions
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Expertise in test automation and data collection
- Source code control experience
- Experience with general-purpose test equipment and automation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQs, switches)
- Object-oriented programming skills
- Six Sigma or equivalent statistical problem-solving methodology
