RO LE SUMMARY

The Process Engineer supports performance, quality, and reliability of high-speed Packaging operations within the brewery. This role focuses on stabilizing processes, improving line efficiency, and reducing losses through strong technical understanding of Packaging equipment, automation, and process controls.

The Process Engineer works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve equipment performance, and implement sustainable process improvements. This position serves as a technical resource for Packaging lines and supports equipment upgrades, automation improvements, and capital projects that enable safe, efficient, and consistent production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support performance and process stability of high-speed Packaging lines, including fillers, packers, conveyors, palletizers, and associated automation
  • Analyze line losses, downtime, and quality issues; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide technical support for electrical, controls, and automation systems, including PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, sensors, HMIs, and safety systems
  • Develop, maintain, and improve process control standards to ensure consistent execution and product quality
  • Partner with Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve reliability and throughput
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment design, controls logic, automation, and line efficiencies
  • Support development and execution of production standards, operating parameters, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Use data and lean / VPO tools to track performance, reduce variation, and sustain improvements
  • Support production scheduling, maintenance planning, and inventory alignment by providing process and performance insights
  • Support safety, energy, and environmental initiatives, with emphasis on machine and electrical safety
  • Partner with Engineering and CAPEX teams on Packaging equipment upgrades, trials, and return-on-investment projects
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical subject area preferred.
  • Manufacturing environment experience – experience in a union environment is preferred.
  • Leadership skills, comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change.
  • Exhibit knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, or other management system.
  • Possess the ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
