Broadcom's GTO team is seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Electrical Hardware & AI Integration Engineer to serve as a critical bridge between our IT infrastructure and our core Design Engineering business units.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering Interface:
Act as the primary technical liaison between GTO and design engineering teams to translate complex hardware requirements into scalable IT solutions. - Hardware Validation & Analysis:
Utilize expertise in Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and sensitivity analysis to evaluate performance margins for automotive and aerospace-grade hardware. - AI-Driven Acceleration:
Identify and implement emerging AI tools to automate repetitive engineering tasks, such as electronic component modeling in PSpice or signal integrity data analysis. - PCB & System Design:
Support the development of mixed-signal hardware, including schematic design, component selection, and multi-layer PCB layout using tools like Altium Designer or Cadence. - Bring-up & Testing:
Perform board bring-up and validation for high-speed digital systems, utilizing programmable PNAs and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes to verify system requirements. - Embedded Systems Implementation:
Develop and tune embedded firmware (C/C++, Python/Micro Python) for closed-loop control systems and power regulation.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
- Design Tools:
Mastery of Cadence PSpice, Altium Designer, LTSpice, and KiCad. - Programming:
Strong foundations in Python, C/C++, and Matlab. - Engineering Concepts:
Deep understanding of Power/Signal Integrity, FMEA, and communication protocols (SPI, UART, CAN). - Experience:
Proven track record in fast-paced environments (startup or research labs) handling satellite communications, power converters, or high-speed digital systems. - Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams or professional organizations, such as IEEE or FSAE-Electric. - Preferred
Skills:
Experience with Power Electronics (Buck, Boost, Flyback) and semiconductor device characterization. - Preferred
Skills:
Familiarity with safety-critical systems like Brake System Plausibility Devices (BSPD). - Preferred
Skills:
Ability to conduct formal design reviews and peer evaluations.
The annual base salary range for this position is $73,100 - $117,000.
