POSITION DESCRIPTION

Qcells is seeking a Senior Mission Critical Program Manager to serve as the owner’s representative for the delivery of data center fit-out and retrofit projects.

This role focuses on the delivery of data center fit-out and retrofit projects, managing the installation of MEP and mission-critical infrastructure, including generators, ATS, switch gear, mechanical systems, and DC build-out. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing mission‑critical fit‑out work in owner-side roles, with the judgment to anticipate issues, drive accountability, and represent Qcells’ interests across all phases of project delivery.

The Senior Mission Critical Project Manager will partner closely with engineering, power systems, program management, and vendor execution teams to ensure sites are delivered to specification, on time, and at portfolio scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Owner’s Representation & Project Oversight

  • Serve as Qcells’ owner representative on data center fit‑out and retrofit projects, maintaining on‑site presence at active sites
  • Oversee engineering partners, EPCs, and contractors to ensure work is performed to specification, on schedule, and within budget
  • Attend coordination meetings, OAC sessions, and site walks to monitor progress and surface issues early
  • Mitigate change orders and protect project interests through proactive risk identification and resolution

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead end‑to‑end project execution across multiple concurrent data center sites, from design coordination through installation, integration, commissioning, and closeout
  • Own project schedules, budgets, and milestones; track progress against plan and drive corrective action when needed
  • Manage scope, contract administration, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate constructability reviews, value engineering, and design coordination with engineering teams and contractors

Technical Execution Oversight

  • Oversee installation of MEP and mission‑critical infrastructure, including generators, ATS, switch gear, mechanical systems, and DC electrical distribution
  • Validate that technical aspects of installation, including MEP, power systems, and critical environment requirements, are executed to specification
  • Partner with internal engineering and power systems teams to resolve technical issues in the field
  • Oversee commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities to ensure sites are delivered ready for operation
  • Maintain quality control across site execution, identifying and escalating deviations from design intent

Cost, Schedule & Risk Management

  • Track project costs, schedule, and change order impact across assigned sites
  • Maintain project schedules and drive corrective action when needed
  • Identify and manage project risks across safety, cost, schedule, and quality
  • Report project status, key metrics, and risks to internal leadership on a regular cadence

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal engineering, power systems, program management, and deployment teams to maintain delivery alignment
  • Coordinate with Qcells’ program management function to ensure individual project execution rolls up to portfolio‑level delivery visibility
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sites meet operational, reliability, and performance goals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of project management experience in construction, infrastructure, or mission‑critical facilities, with demonstrated exposure to data center, retrofit, or fit‑out work
  • Strong working knowledge of mission‑critical MEP and electrical systems, including generators, ATS, switch gear, and DC electrical distribution, along with commissioning processes and critical environment protocols
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, contract administration, and risk on complex infrastructure projects
  • Experience coordinating with general contractors, engineering consultants, and vendor execution partners
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work effectively across internal and external stakeholders
  • Travel may be required up to 50%, depending on business…
