The Engineering Technician II supports engineering activities such as assembly, fabrication, test, verification, and modification of electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, and troubleshooting functions.
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Assists in the construction, test, verification, and calibration of test equipment.
- Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including test software, general instrumentation, and complex test systems.
- Performs support functions for development including documentation and procurement.
- Works under limited supervision.

Fort Collins, Colorado - Engineering Technicians regularly work in lab and/or manufacturing/service facilities.
- Standing approximately 40%
- Walking approximately 20%
- Sitting approximately 40%
- Carrying without assistance up to 30 lbs
- Pushing up to 50 lbs
- Pulling up to 50 lbs
- Must have strong electro‑mechanical problem‑solving attributes. Able to operate a variety of electrical test instrumentation.
- Can rely on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Relevant design/development team and/or manufacturing support
- High School Diploma required
- Associate’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline preferred
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $29 - $36 per hour.
