Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power conversion electronics and analog mixed-signal design. Experience with RF circuit design is desirable. In this role, you will play a key part in sustaining and evolving our existing product portfolio, with primary responsibility for product enhancements, redesigns, and derivative solutions that extend product life and meet evolving customer needs. You will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to define needs/requirements for new aftermarket product solutions and lead projects with a small team of supporting engineers.

Your expertise will provide training and mentorship to others.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the re-design, analysis, and development for DC and Radio Frequency (RF) power delivery system derivatives and RF Match derivatives for industrial and semiconductor aftermarket solutions.
  • Drive product enhancements, redesigns, and obsolescence management efforts to extend product life, improve performance, and address field and customer-driven issues.
  • Apply a broad technical knowledge of circuit/hardware design including but not limited to DC circuits, AC to DC converters, AC power factor correction, high power transistors and rectifiers, digital and analog loop stability, RF matching networks, magnetic design, digital hardware, test and measurement systems, and electrical/safety regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct simulations, modeling, root cause analysis, and testing to validate design changes and optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, specifications, and performance goals.
  • Participate in design reviews, feasibility assessments, and risk analyses to ensure robust implementation of product changes and derivative designs.
  • Follow key engineering procedures including the ECO process, Copy Exact and Product Development Process.
  • Work closely with customers and product managers to identify improvement opportunities, define aftermarket solutions, and communicate project progress; support on-site validation and installation as needed.
  • Own post-development success and sustainment of developed products in customer applications.

  • Works within standard office and engineering lab environment. Must be able to travel 5% of the time, including internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership skills with a passion to innovate enabling precision power products for our customers most critical processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in sustaining engineering, including product enhancements, redesigns, and lifecycle management of released products.
  • Proven ability to develop derivative products and aftermarket solutions based on field performance, customer needs, and obsolescence challenges.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB® /Simulink, or SPICE (experience with ADS a plus).
  • Schematic capture and PCBA layout with EMC considerations, and system integration (experience with Altium® Designer a plus).
  • Strong expertise in power conversion technologies and controls
  • General scripting language skills; MATLAB® and or Python™.
  • Familiar with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum and network analyzers, power supplies, RF and DC fixturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
