Advanced Energy is looking for an Engineer II to join our Regression Test Engineering (RTE) team in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Working within and supporting an Agile software development process, this Engineer will design, develop, test, and implement automated firmware tests for high frequency and high voltage systems to ensure high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute regression and performance tests for RF-based plasma power systems.
- Responsible for supporting Test Engineering efforts in the design and analysis of new and existing automation test processes and quality goals.
- Develop Python tests in a structured environment capable of running in an automated Dev Ops environment.
- Develop mathematical models and iterative algorithms to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop methods for validating system performance by analyzing waveform and signal data.
- Collaborate with design and systems engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RF performance, reliability, and test yields.

Work Environment:
- Location:
Fort Collins, Colorado - Works in a standard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, engineering lab and in a manufacturing facility
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience working in Test Engineering or similar with bachelor's degree in engineering or similar.
- Proven ability to use professional concepts appropriate to software engineering, including analytical methods, object-oriented programming, computer aided design tools, test equipment, lab skills appropriate to test.
- Advanced working knowledge of Python software programming languages. Knowledge of C, C++.
- Ability to function within an environment where general instructions on routine work is received.
- Knowledge of Dev Ops tools such as containers, pipelines, databases.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems with minimal assistance.
- Good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in automated test development with Python programming.
- Related experience in the use of Dev Ops tools, Git, Bit Bucket, Bit Bucket Pipelines, Containers etc.
- Experience in test development of embedded systems a plus.
- Experience in hardware or systems engineering a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar required.
Compensation:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 - $105,000 per year.
