We energize society  by supporting our customers to make the transition to a more sustainable world, based on innovative technologies and our ability to turn ideas into reality. With nearly 100,000 employees around the world, we shape the energy systems of today and tomorrow.

Join our Gas Engines Operations Management team as a Field Service Engineer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring business continuity by back filling this critical position. Imagine being at the forefront of field service work, managing the current service backlog in the North America region. In this Senior Professional (P3) role, you will focus on three core areas: delivering on-site technical service and commissioning of gas engine systems, managing client relationships and providing technical consultation, and driving operational reporting and process improvement.

Your expertise will not only facilitate immediate service delivery but also enhance long-term customer satisfaction. If you have advanced experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, particularly with gas engines or similar industrial equipment, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Perform commissioning, installation, and testing of gas engine systems and related equipment at customer sites, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to maintain system reliability.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for customers, developing strong relationships to secure future business and enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage individual service projects and field processes with limited supervision, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and budget standards.
  • Complete and submit detailed service reports and quality control documentation for all site activities in a timely manner.
What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Significant experience (typically 5-8 years) in a field service engineering role, focusing on industrial engines, power generation, or compression systems.
  • Proven ability to manage service projects and work independently on complex technical problems, consistent with a Senior Professional (P3) level.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities and experience with commissioning processes.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and train customer personnel effectively.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
