Fort Collins Wage: $80,000 to $115,000 / annually Bonus: 10% target
Execute the Controls Engineering design, documentation & support functions for the increasing number of robotic projects.
Functions and ResponsibilitiesServe as the Lead Controls Engineer for multiple customer projects simultaneously. Responsible for all aspects of Controls Engineering on your projects including design, documentation and support of the assembly and installation team. Measured based on:
On Time Performance On Budget Performance Quality of work Responsible for overall robotic cell safety Have the ability and desire to learn to produce electrical designs for automation equipment including: PLC hardware / software selection & programming, motion control hardware / software selection & programming, schematic diagrams, pneumatic / hydraulic hardware selection and schematic diagrams, control system drawings, wiring techniques and basic electrical troubleshooting procedures Use an innovative, creative design approach with a goal of minimizing total cost Standardize controls designs and reduce the number of components used Customer satisfaction;
strive to receive an 'A Grade' from the customer on all projects Excellent teamwork with the project team; value the input from all members while meeting your on-time, on-budget and quality commitments.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (industry experience can be accounted for in lieu of bachelor's degree) Desire to learn to design industrial machine control systems including safety systems utilizing 2-D CAD, Auto Cad Electrical Electrical circuit design and analysis experience Ability to proficiently read and interpret electrical prints Ability to develop and document procedures Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to travel ~10%
Qualifications DesiredThree years experience in a manufacturing environment Allen Bradley Compact Logic experience Experience in writing, de-bug, and commissioning PLC logic and HMI code Closed loop Servo experience (Yaskawa) ABB Robotic control system knowledge FANUC Robotic control system knowledge FANUC PMC programming experience Familiarity with Robotic automation safety Familiarity with electrical standards (ANSII, NFPA, ISO) Laser Safety
