The Treasury Management Officer (TMO) helps local businesses and organizations manage their cash flow, payments, and banking services more effectively. This role focuses on building strong relationships with business clients, understanding their day-to-day financial needs, and providing treasury and cash management solutions that make their operations easier and more secure. The TMO works closely with commercial lenders and other bank team members to support clients and grow the bank's treasury services portfolio.
EducationRequirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5–10 years of experience in treasury services, commercial banking, or a client-facing financial services role. On-the-job training will occur and the individual will be expected to learn and retain the information to be competent in their role.
Duties- Lead deposit growth and relationships with Waypoint Bank in our Colorado markets, including but not limited to Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. Target markets include but are not limited to individual consumers, for profit and non-profit businesses, schools, municipalities, state and local government districts, etc.
- Assist the Colorado branches in achieving annual deposit goals by developing and executing a comprehensive strategic marketing plan.
- Utilize Waypoint Bank's current selection of deposit and treasury management products to structure and propose customized deposit and cash management solutions aligned with the clients' liquidity and operational needs.
- Assist in future product development as needed.
- Acquire thorough understanding of Waypoint Bank's value proposition, expertise and products/services.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the competitive landscape, rate environment, and market products and pricing.
- Collaborate with current teams within the bank, including operational personnel, lenders, personal bankers, etc. to deliver comprehensive solutions and help deepen client relationships.
- This role is a production and ongoing service position, therefore ongoing support to build and ensure a customer long term relationship is critical to achieve the bank's objectives.
- Represent the bank at networking, fund raisers, and community events to generate leads and enhance brand visibility. This includes active community involvement with boards and other organizations.
- Perform job functions in compliance with all company policies, federal and state rules and regulations as applicable to the position including, but not limited to, BSA/AML, OFAC, and GLBA privacy rules.
- Perform other job duties as assigned from time to time by bank management.
- Client support, relationship building, and new account documentation assistance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business and nonprofit clients, helping them streamline collections, payments, and cash management.
- Meet regularly with clients to understand their operations and recommend banking solutions.
- Provide hands-on support and training for treasury products and services.
- Partner with commercial lenders to identify new treasury opportunities.
- Present solutions that help clients improve efficiency and protect against fraud.
- Maintain knowledge of treasury services such as online banking, ACH, remote deposit capture, merchant services, and fraud protection tools.
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with internal teams to resolve client questions quickly.
